Employment opportunities.

Announcing beginning September 5, 2010 the Nursing staff will be moving to Resident Centered Staffing Model with 12 hour shifts.

  • Day Shift: 7:30AM - 8PM for NURSES
  • Day Shift: 7:30AM - 7:30PM for CNAs
  • Night Shift: 7:30PM - 8AM for NURSES
  • Night Shift: 7:30PM - 7:30AM for CNAs
  • In every pay period (14 days) there are seven 12-hour shifts instead of ten 8-hour shifts.
  • The schedule is always the same and repeats itself every 14 days.
  • No more working long stretches. Only one three-day stretch in a 14 day period.
  • Every staff person is scheduled a long weekend (Friday-Saturday-Sunday) every fourteen days

With this new staffing model we will need Full Time Staff or IN HOUSE REGISTRY (IHR) Staff. IHR staff will be asked to make available 4 shifts per month, 2 of those shifts weekend shifts. They will fill in for scheduled vacations, absences, and are asked to be available for short notice call offs.

DAY SHIFT & NIGHT SHIFT, FULL TIME & IN HOUSE REGISTRY, RN and LPN’s

Responsible to ensure the safety and well-being of residents on the transitional care unit and skilled/memory support neighborhoods in accordance with established policies, procedures, and nursing standards. Responsible to direct a team of C.N.A.s ensuring completion of scheduled tasks and to promote team work.

DAY SHIFT & NIGHT SHIFT, FULL TIME & IN HOUSE REGISTRY, C.N.A.

Responsible to provide routine care on the transitional care unit and/or skilled/ memory support neighborhoods in accordance with established policies, procedures, and nursing standards, and as may be directed by the Unit or Shift Supervisor or the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times.

DAY SHIFT RN Nursing Clinical Coordinator

Will assume the authority and accountability of organizing and directing the unit’s activities on the Day Shift 7:30am - 8:00pm.. Will provide leadership to Nursing and C.N.A. staff to include coaching, balancing workload, disciplinary action, and overall direction. Will be responsible for monitoring the safety of the residents, conduct rounds, pass meds, admissions, and provide bed side care as needed. Will establish priorities, meet with families and interdisciplinary teams, and participate on committees as assigned. Will communicate unit’s activities to the DON keeping her informed of any situations that may arise on the Shift. Prior hospital and long time care experience preferred.

NIGHT SHIFT RN Nursing Clinical Coordinator

PART-TIME Fairview Baptist Home Wait Staff

Flexible days 4pm to 7:30pm and weekends. Energetic, self-starter with good communication skills to provide service to our residents. Other responsibilities include set-up, clean up, bussing tables, sweeping and mopping, taking garbage out, and providing outstanding customer service.

LEAD Cook Village

This position will work from 6:00am - 2:30pm during the week and will have a rotating weekend schedule. This position will be an integral member of the Food Service team and supports the Director as a lead to ensure that the kitchen crew functions seamlessly as a team in the consistent delivery of excellent food. Must meet our specifications, and quality requirements. Executes routine day to day operation of the kitchen, assigns daily, weekly and monthly cleaning lists and duties, assigns daily prep lists and assignments, assists with training of kitchen staff.

Internships.

The Fairview internship program is a 12-week opportunity that will present you with a variety of training and development experiences. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in critical areas of the manager’s role. We currently have intern opportunities in Human Resources, Marketing, Organizational Development (non-paid), Dining Services, and Life Enrichment. We are looking for senior-level students who are currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program at a college or university, preferably working toward a degree. Must have strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to respond to changing demands is required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
